Mission to SAVE our Mothers
Mothers in Africa are dying in record numbers from childbirth deaths. 303,000 women die every year from complications in child-birth which occur mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa. 99% of all these deaths are avoidable with the right medical care and resources.
We are passionate about providing healthcare access and mitigate these preventable deaths.
It costs less than the price of a postage stamp to prevent a mother hemorrhaging to death in childbirth.
We need your help in delivering healthcare services to these vulnerable mothers.
Prevent childbirth deaths in Africa by providing reliable and effective healthcare access to pregnant women.
1
Establish MCH- Somalia
Partner with local leaders to establish MCH (Mother Child Health center) to provide end to end services for pregnant mothers and children under 5. The model strengthens the existing health network – both public and private – to help overcome the three delays that often prevent women from receiving life-saving care during a pregnancy or childbirth emergency.
2
Midwife Training
Create a training program to build a talent pipeline for midwives. There are opportunities to professionalize current midwives that practice without licensing, so proper training will be provided and the local community will benefit. Midwives will be the front line in combating these preventable Child-birth deaths.
3
Build Maternity Care
To make this initiative more sustainable, our long term plan is to build a maternity clinic that will have end to end healthcare solutions for mothers and their newborn children. Dedicated maternity wards do not exist in this part of the world and this future investment will save mother's lives.
